About Me

Hi, I’m Dain!

I’m the creator of StartHereFM (educational media network), Createrly digital agency(sold), Midas (Government’s Kickstarter), co-founder of Midroll ($55m exit), open source coder, Department of State (Knowledge Leadership Division) Digital Innovation Consultant  for 12+ Government Agencies, DoD/NRO contractor, former CTO @ IARPA.gov, Principal Developer Google, and a Presidential Innovation Fellow @ The White House.

On the side from day jobs, in the past 10 years I’ve created a 1m+ person audience, created a best selling coursecoached 50 people directly, and helped over 45 businesses grow top-line revenue 2x – 25x. Also for fun I learned how to run Paid Traffic (growing to $26,000/day in ad-spend), and learned how to do High Ticket sales(getting to $100k/month on a $5.5k product in first 3 months with no sales experience). I did those just for fun, because why not! 😍

But let’s move on to the more important things in life….

I’m a lover of CoffeeWalkingBeing OutsideToltec & Stoic Philosophythe Ocean, & reading.

A few fun facts: I am one of the few people that LOVE the Star Wars Prequils, and I love Matrix 2 & 3! I’ve also LISTENED to the book Ready Player One like 45 times; it’s one of my favorite books of all time.

As far as my TOP HOBBY in life (coding), I am in love with Ruby, ElixirErlangR, and a fan of JavaScriptJulia, and Python.

I believe in something called “The Subconscious Learning Theory“, and I use it to teach my clients and learn every new skill I learn. It just works. I’ve proved it works by being able to go from a Suicidal Heroin Addict to someone who has achieved more than most in a wide variety of fields and areas (while not being any smarter than the average person). This is something I want to study & write a dissertation about when I’m older, during a PhD candidacy, but first I’m on a mission to help 10 million people. Helping people comes first. I’ll do the science later in life (following the Benjamin Franklin model).

I have ultra-long-term aspirations of creating the next Bell Labs, but first I need to gather enough money for an endevour like that. Regardless, I want to build the next major facility for Innovation in our world… an in the mean time I’m keeping sharp by studying disperate topics (“edge effect” – key to Innovation) such as Theoretical Physics, Atomic Physics, Graph Theory, Game Theory, Theoretical CS [Distributed Systems], Philosophy (modern+ancient), current Self-Dev, How-To, Fiction Ideas, and much more…

Cheers,
– Dain
